Impatiens Seeds 'Beacon Mixed'

Unwins Impatiens Beacon Mixed Seeds (Busy Lizzie) deliver a bright mix of summer colour to dramatize your garden displays.

It's downy mildew resistant, which has made other varieties harder to grow.

  • Perfect for pots and containers
  • Loved by pollinators
  • Prefers full sun

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more fine compost or vermiculite. Place in warmth, 20-25°C and keep moist.

Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost, or into individual 8cm pots.

Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 20cm between plants.

Aftercare
Deadhead spent blooms and feed and water regularly to maximise the flowering period.
